He is one of the founding partners of Guevara & Gutiérrez. In addition, he was also founder, president and registered arbitrator of the Center for Conciliation and Arbitration of the La Paz Bar Association. He was a civil judge in the department of La Paz, an adviser on procedural and administrative matters for the Bolivian Central Bank, and held important institutional roles, such as the presidency of the La Paz Bar Association, the presidency of the Confederation of Professionals of La Paz, and the vice presidency of the Confederation of Lawyers of the Andean Countries. He is widely acknowledged as one of the leading experts on Labour Law and Real Estate in Bolivia.
